Has God left it up to us to figure out how to live obediently and to serve Him? I believe not. The answer is so simple that it is obvious for the searching hearts of believers. It’s not rocket science!
It is so simple that we often completely miss it. God’s plan is for us to live in such an intimate relationship with Him that we will naturally follow His leading for our lives and for the global penetration of the Gospel. We are saved to live in complete openness to His Presence, to proclaim what He tells us to proclaim, and go where He leads us to go.

While God has given us His Word and clear instructions for us to follow, He has not left it up to us to devise, scheme, and plan how to accomplish His Will and fulfill His commands.
“For it was the Holy Spirit’s decision—and ours!” —Acts 15:28
This statement introduced the principal that became the driving force for the fledgling Christian movement initiated by Jesus’ death on the cross. The decision was not man-made but was determined by God Himself. God’s plan to accomplish everything He had committed to the church was not caused by human strategy but by the leading of the Holy Spirit. From the very beginning, it was obvious that new believers received the Holy Spirit when they were saved (1 Corinthians 12:13), thus releasing a supernatural Presence into the life of the church.
Doing the will of God is not rocket science!
This is the amazing story of two south Texas kids who met in a unique way and have been on a journey together for 64 years. From humble beginnings, their journey has taken them to 36 countries around the world and virtually every state in the United States. You will be inspired by what God has done through their ministry.
They met in a Youth Revival in 1955 and have been on the road together since 1956. Jimmy has served as president of the Southern Baptist Convention and of LifeWay Christian resources.
